This was a very disappointing lunch visit with friends. In the past I have often order to go food, but this time we were going to dine in. I will admit it has been a very long time since I have been here but my memory was that we liked this spot a lot. Very clean spot with six booths if you choose to eat in, one of nicer Asian take out spaces in the area. Order at the counter, from a list of daily specials or choose from the menu and the food will be delivered.
We ordered some egg rolls to share and the special soup of the day Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp. Egg rolls were greasy almost overcooked. There were few vegetables inside, and more wrapper than anything else.
The soup watery little flavor in the broth best thing it was spicy as ordered, a few shrimp and lots of mushrooms, very little else. This was most unappealing and was left after the shrimp were gone.
Sadly we all ordered the same entree, the special of the day Garlic Noodles with chicken. Overcooked noodles, veggies that should have been crisp were limp, plus none of us had any hint of garlic. I liken it to a buffet where the food is on hot for way too long and every thing just runs together. I had a few of the broccoli pieces and all of the chicken, but left the noodles. My other friend just gave up all together only one person showed any interest in this dish to the point of taking the left overs home.
I have friends who swear by this place, and I did at one time, but no longer. Sorry I can’t encourage my readers, but I never forget this blog is only my experience Do with my thoughts as you will. Whatever I always wish you good food with good friends.

The restaurant with Fu in it that is worthwhile in Jacksonville is only Mama Fu’s…

I agree, Mama Fu’s is superior, but a road trip for me. If I am going that far it has to be Peony Asian Bistro. Are you familiar with it? If not give it a try, especially for the Peking Duck………………..
Thanks again for reading.
