It was a perfect spring day for a trip to the beach, so I was happy to go that way and enjoy lunch with a friend. Nestled in trendy Sawgrass Village, Trasca and Company fits in well. Large corner space with outdoor seating and large open interior makes for a perfect casual lunch or dinner especially this time of year.
The sandwich board is well displayed for ease ordering, or you may just choose to sit at the bar and have a fresh brewed latte or espresso.
Once your order is placed, take your number and find a great place to sit, there is not a bad seat in the house.
My friend selected the half Turkey Avocado Panino, their variation of the Italian Panini. Stuffed with Farmer Sy’s All Natural Turkey, Nueske’s Applewood Bacon, Avocado, Swiss, Tomato, and housemade Ranch. The salad Crisp Romaine, Carrots, Cucumbers, Honeycrisp Apples, Red Onion, Romano Cheese, Diced Tomatoes, Almonds, Sunflower Seeds, Dried Cranberries, housemade croutons. One of the most appealing salads I have seen.
My choice, Rangers Ruben, Sy Ginsberg’s Corned Beef, Switzerland Swiss, Coleslaw, Russian Dressing served with chips. The panino was tasty, but a bit on the skimpy side for the price.
I was pleased for the opportunity to lunch with my friend, but this is not a place I would rush back to. It is worth a first visit, and if you live in the area, it certainly becomes more attractive, perhaps a place to meet up for wine or some fine coffee, for me the distance far outweighs the food.
